Why Kingsbridge Membership Club Want To Celebrate Those Who Invest In Mental Health & Wellbeing Of Staff

22nd, Mar 2024

Kingsbridge Membership Club is delighted to be supporting the category of Excellence in Workplace Health & Wellbeing again this year at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards 2024, allowing us to celebrate those who continue to see their staff as the most important asset by investing in their mental health and wellbeing.

Companies across all sectors are increasingly recognising the importance of improving healthcare for their staff and the long-term benefits in terms of enhanced productivity, recruitment and retention and a more engaged workforce.

In fact, the 2023 Health and Wellbeing at Work survey from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) reported that over half of organisations now have a standalone wellbeing strategy, with over two-thirds stating that senior leaders have employee wellbeing on their agenda.

We want to hear more about what you are doing to improve the health and wellbeing of staff in your workplace to give you the recognition you deserve.

You may be investing in and implementing initiatives to develop a culture where employees lead more healthy lives, providing annual health checks, flu vaccinations, eye and hearing checks. Or perhaps you are encouraging your colleagues to take a walk at lunchtime, hosting health-related team days or making fresh fruit available for free in the canteen.

Fiona Dowds, Head of Group Sales & Business Development at Kingsbridge Healthcare Group (KHG), said: “We work with hundreds of firms, encompassing almost 6,000 staff, to deliver a unique and exclusive corporate healthcare membership scheme that is tailored to the needs of each organisation. At KHG we recognise that empowering employees to identify steps to improve their own general wellbeing is key to helping them take control of their own health. This can be done at different levels and stages, as not every employee is the same or has the same physical, mental, or emotional needs.

“That’s what makes us unique. Our online membership portal ensures your team can access all their benefits and book appointments themselves, confidentially and at a special Kingsbridge membership rate.

“Our dedicated patient liaison team can also help you arrange ‘wellbeing at work’ events tackling topics like healthy eating and gut health, cancer awareness, menopause, male and female health checks as well as mental health and stress awareness talks.

“Since last year more businesses are approaching us to see how we can help them take care of their workforce through offering benefits that complement employees that have private medical insurance and also those who don’t.

“We can accommodate both while also offering enhanced options including our Platinum GP subscription which gives rapid access to unlimited appointments.

“The Law Society of Northern Ireland is one of many current organisations that avail of our membership club and who we are delighted to have on board.”

Paul O’Connor, the Law Society’s Head of Communications, welcomed the support provided by Kingsbridge Healthcare Group in the delivery of its ‘well-being programme’.

“Over the course of the last number of years, the Kingsbridge team have supported our members with a series of health check clinics provided by their GPs, nurses, and consultants as well as their attendance at important society events including the 100th year anniversary conference and the society’s International Men’s Day event.

“We look forward to working with the Kingsbridge team in the roll-out of a series of new and exciting health and well-being initiatives which we believe will support solicitors throughout NI.”
