- Steroid injections into inflamed joints
- Injection into soft tissues (for conditions such as tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, or carpal tunnel syndrome)

Dr Gary Meenagh MD MRCP FRCPI
Dr Gary Meenagh is a consultant in adult Rheumatology with special expertise in dealing with a wide range of rheumatic complaints including inflammatory arthritis, osteoporosis and connective tissue disease. Dr Meenagh graduated in medicine from Queens University, Belfast in 1995 and undertook specialist training in Belfast and University of Ancona, Italy prior to taking his current consultant post at the Rheumatology Department in Antrim and Causeway hospitals in 2007. Previously he had been Consultant Rheumatologist in Bristol, UK.
His research portfolio is extensive and he continues to publish articles related to rheumatology. Following his period of study in Italy he has developed expertise in performing musculoskeletal ultrasound which is now used widely in his daily practice..
