Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine whereby the digestive system and its disorders are studied. Diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the organs from mouth to anus, along the alimentary canal, are the focus of this specialty.  Hepatology, or hepatobiliary medicine, encompasses the study of the liver, pancreas, and biliary tree and is traditionally considered a sub-specialty.

Our Consultant Gastroenterologists and Hepatobiliary physicians and surgeons can examine, diagnose and treat those concerned about any issues affecting the gastro-intestinal tract (including the oesophagus, stomach and small and large bowel problems) and the hepatobiliary system (including the liver, pancreas and biliary tree).
