Ultrasound Services
Ultrasound imaging is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat a range of medical conditions.
Ultrasound exams do not use ionizing radiation (as used in x-rays) and are used to show the structure and movement of the body's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through blood vessels.
3fivetwo routinely perform the most common examinations including:
- general abdominal/pelvic
- musculo skeletal
- colour Doppler scanning
- breast imaging
- peripheral vascular regions such as leg and carotid arteries
- abdominal aorta aneurysm screening
Most ultrasound examinations are quick and painless however you may be required to fast or attend with a full bladder.
Please inform us if you have had a barium enema or upper GI (gastrointestinal) tests within the past two days as these can interfere with the ultrasound test.
A medical referral is required. Please allow 20 mins for your appointment and results will be issued to the referral source within 48hrs of the scan.
