Medical Imaging & Screening Centre
Our state of the art new Medical Imaging Centre is ideally located on the lower Lisburn road in close proximity to all of the major Belfast hospitals with its own private car parking facilities. Within the 4 storey building we have a created a unique and contemporary environment in order for our patients to enjoy our medical services in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This environment is also complemented with the highest levels of medical imaging and recording equipment available today making your experience a 3fivetwo like no other.
Computed Tomography (64 Channel CT)
At the core of the imaging centre is the latest Philips Brilliance 64 Channel CT scanner with essence technology. This technology investment ensures that patients can be scanned with the latest technology available and at the one of the lowest possible doses of radiation in Ireland.The new Essence CT scanner is so sensitive that it will detect the earliest signs of calcium build up in the coronary arteries, which can be the first signs of heart disease, long before the classic cardiac symptoms manifest themselves to their full extent.

Your experience in the scanner is now also greatly improved as 3fivetwo have installed the first lighting system of its kind in clinical use in Ireland. The walls are free from the usual clutter of a hospital scanning suite and instead are replaced by the calming effect of Philips Ambiscene.The entire room is awash with colours helping to take your mind away from the procedure, so that you can focus on the most important thing in the room...you.
Mammography (Full Field Digital/ DR)
Due the increased demand for both symptomatic patients and asymptomatic screening of the female population, 3fivetwo have installed a full field DR mammography system. The LORAD system once again provides one of the highest quality diagnostic images at the lowest possible dose in the industry and is only the second scanner of this specification in all of N.Ireland.The presence of the mammography system in the imaging centre alongside the breast ultrasound system for biopsy means that the Radiologists & Breast Surgeons can provide a “one stop clinic” for breast assessment. The same day availability of the system will ensure that asymptomatic female patients can receive mammograms at the recommended intervals without delay.
Ultrasound
The centre also has diagnostic radiology ultrasound system from GE healthcare.The Voluson system has the capability to perform with ease the most common examinations including general abdominal/pelvic, colour Doppler scanning, breast imaging and peripheral vascular regions such as leg and carotid arteries.The majority of our scanning is carried out on site privately by Consultant Radiologists from the local NHS trusts with results issued to the referral source within 48hrs of the scan.
Cardiology
The second floor of the centre is dedicated to all aspects of Cardiology assessment, recording and imaging. Few locations can claim to have such a vast array of modalities in a single location with an ease of access second to none.
The cardiac facilities on site include:
- Cardiac CT scanning for calcium scoring and angiography
- ECG recording
- Treadmill examinations
- Echocardiography including stress
- 24hrs cardiac event recording including BP and ECG
Health Assessments
Along with the specialities mentioned above, we also offer a range of health assessments which can be tailored to suit the needs of the individual (referral from a GP, Insurance company or NHS is required before embarking on a health assessment). These packages are delivered by a broad section of Consultants from each of the many specialities which 3fivetwo now offer.
