The Men’s Health service at 3fivetwo includes a general health assessment or screening for specific key regions such as our Healthy Heart Assessment or Bowel Screening. These services are available in isolation or as a mix and match combined package.
Plus with the incorporation of Belfast Prostate Clinic, which focuses on Prostate Cancer Screening and Benign and Malignant treatments of the Prostate, the clinic also provides an ideal “One-Stop” solution to screening for Prostate cancer. Benign prostate disease is common in men over the age of 50. It is normal for the prostate to enlarge with age due to growth of benign tumours within the gland. These tumours are not life threatening but excessive growth can cause restriction around the urethra resulting in urinary complaints and quality of life issues.
Prostate cancer is relatively common above the age of 70 affecting up to 1 in 3 men. Medical decisions on treatment options depend on many factors including the patient’s age, general health, severity of symptoms and patient preference.
